Homebuyer's Course

Our First-Time Homebuyer’s course is an introductory program that will help you find a starting point for the conversations a potential First-Time Home Buyer should consider. From the basics of credit and the importance of knowing your credit score to the more involved procedures of applying for loans, home inspections and appraisal processes, and what you might expect when closing on a home. We’ll highlight the advantages of being a homeowner, the importance of budgeting and saving, differences in various home loan types, and how to stay prepared for the expected and unexpected home maintenance or repairs that will undoubtedly be needed over time. This course will also provide detailed definitions of need-to-know terms such as Debt-to-Income ratio (DTI), gross income, PITI (Principal, Interest, Taxes and Insurance), and escrow. We have designed this self-guided course to ensure future First-Time Home Buyers feel confident during each step of the home buying process. Enrolled participants will also receive access to our Homebuyer’s E-book which will reinforce our discussion topics and be a resource for additional information a future First-Time Home Buyer may need.
